Particpant profiles

Ji Hyun Kong “Sally”, Fourth Year High School - This is the first year for Sally and her team to join GEC, but she is highly optimistic and enthusiastic to leave a mark and make an impact.   As a dynamic visionary fond of ironies and paradoxes, she hopes to surprise the audience with an unexpected "snap."

Ma. Alyyana P. Antiporda “Yya”, First Year College -  Yya can be considered the 'big sister' of the team, as she is the eldest among the members. She is fond of the arts and crafts, music, film, animation, and anything related to the brilliant Sherlock Holmes. She believes her skills in drawing and video editing will make her a valuable asset to the team.

Maria Athena P. Antiporda “Ainna”, Fourth Year High School - This is Athena’s first year to join GEC but she won’t let that stop her. Having a love for video making and preparing presentations, she’s ready to use her skills to help her group with whatever is thrown their way. Named after the Greek goddess of War and Wisdom, she won’t go down without a fight. Her goal is not to help her group to come up with something great but with something AWESOME.

Kathrynne Rose  A. Pizarro “Kate”, Fourth Year High School - Kathrynne, or commonly known as "Kate" by her peers, is going to participate in her first GEC. She likes to work with her hands and finds joy in making something amazing out of scrap materials. She is really excited for this year's GEC and hopes to meet new people and learn many things from this experience.

Nicole Catrina P. Santos “Nicah”, Fourth Year High School - Nicah is a sun-loving, tree-hugging, hug-sharing 16 year old. Although it's her first time participating in the GEC, her excitement to compete by far outweighs her anxiety. She feels that her greatest contribution to her team will be her creativity and analytical thinking. The confidence and positive energy that she is known for stem from the question she tends to repeat to herself: Why go through life unnoticed?

Louise E. Toledo, Fourth Year High School - Louise is a lively and extremely sociable person.  She likes to have fun but at the same time knows when to get right down to business. She hopes that she may be able to help the team in any way possible and help her team members use their full potential. She believes that with passion and cooperation, her team will be able to reach great heights.
