Viewing the Launch Presentation and Awards:
Each country will be able to view the launch and the final awards from Sydney, Australia by logging on to YouTube at a site address which will be disclosed prior to the commencement of the Challenge.

Time zones

  2. Europe/ Africa - Germany, Poland, Wales, the UK, Macedonia and South Africa
  3. Asia/Pacific - Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Philippines, Cambodia, and Singapore

Participants will see the 2012 Challenge revealed when the GEC coordinator for their country, accesses the GEC website and keys in the access code for their particular time zone. The GEC launch presentation will be repeated in each of the three time zones and will be time-locked into a global clock. The launch presentation will only be accessible to each country coordinator via a unique code provided by the Australian Host Coordinator at the nominated time in each time zone.

All National teams will compete within a 24 hour timeframe and start at the same nominated time for their time zone. However any team, regardless of where they are on the globe, may choose to run in the same timeframe as the Americas, Europe/ Africa or Asia/ Pacific, but must advise the Australian Host Coordinator at least two weeks prior to the event to ensure they are issued with the appropriate access code.
